Congrats card share

Hey all..
I was having a boring day, until the weather decided to do a lil twist. LOL. Its pleasant and very romantic now. So I thought to make a card for Cardabilities challenge # 84. It was a tricky one. And I chosed different color scheme this time. Orange is so not my color, but i wanted to play bold and beautiful. ;)
By following the Cardabilities sketch # 84:
I made this card.. Now let me tell you a lil something about my card.
This card is pretty dimensional. I adhered book text as background, and then used patterned paper by basic grey (I dont remember the collection). I'm so regretting the fact that I covered the pretty patterned paper, but thats how the sketch goes.
The beautiful paisleys you see is dry-embossed. I punched Congrats using a border punch (my brother got me from Thailand). I had no silver ink, so I heat embossed the backing strip in silver and adhered on the back of my punched strip. The lovely flags beneath the shabby chic lace are embossed and inked as well.
These flowers are punched and then treated well using inks and stylus.. Heart is hand-cut and glittered to give more interest to my card.
I am in love with these daisies now a days. Its like my second favorite after paper peonies.

Let me know what do you think? Is it good?
Leave your feedback in the comment section, and i'll pay you back a visit. :)
Have a great day, ya'll.

Enjoy Life's Moments

Hey everyone!
I'm here to share with you a card I made today. I have been dyinggg to get my hands on the heat embossing system, but offcourse because of the obvious reasons I was not able to get that.
But now, I got em. And its FABULOUS :D
This thing is magical (saying it in smurf's style. LOL)
I added three layers as base, just to give my card a lil extra dimension.
Then I adhered book text in the back, and then comes my final layer. The heat embossed and inked one.
I had this stamp since forever, its HUGE. And I'm still not sure why I never use this gorgeous stamp ever.
Anyway. I used two brown tone distress inks in the background.. Distressed the edges using my new found love Time holtz paper distresser. For the sentiment, I heat embossed "enjoy life's moment" on black cardstock. Added a lil bit of gesso on the edges of my sentiment banner and adhered it using foam tape, for more dimension.
So, over all this card is embossed dimensional card. hehe.
I hope you'll like what I have made so far. Please leave your comment down below. That matters, ALOT!
Have a great day.
Dee.

Birthday babe

Hey everyone!
Sorry I was not updating this space, got carried away.
I'm here to share a wall decor. I used Saturated Canary image, colored it using Faber Castell color pencils.
Used handmade and punched flowers along with two mulberry roses (small).

I added glitters in her hair. and around the sentiments. Added white lace behind the stamped image. And some bold pink floral lace on the bottom.

This pink rolled flower is handmade.

I hope you'll like it. Leave a comment and subscribe if you get some time.
Have a great day.

Grunge, oh wait. Its vintage grunge.

Hey blog friends!!

I'm here to share a card with you, thats the only thing i am having fun creating.

This is slightly different than the others. I wanted dark, wooden background. Looks like i nailed it. Its the BEST i could have done with my homemade stamps and oh-so-beloved distress inks. :D

My card is originally 4 3/8 by 6 1/4 . I know, thats an odd size. But I wanted to work on 4.5x6 inch card surface. So while layering the base, it went a lil bigger unintentionally.
I used homemade and bought stamps in the background. Went crazy with the distressing. So far, its good and i'm satisfied with the results :)
I wanted the neon shade on my card as a focal point. So i chose this pink neon cardstock that i had in my stash. Used other pink shades too. Some handmade leaves and swirls. I'll show you the close ups.
Can you see the texture in the background?? Its beautiful.. Oh and i added a glittered polaroid frame too. My new found obsession, polaroids! :D
I soo wish i get the die cut/emboss system, only then would i be able to go more crazy with the textures. :D
Oh bdw i torn the edges, too.

So far i'm happy the way it turned out. I was a lil scared in the beginning, but it was before i added the sentiment. Now it makes me happy. :)

Leave your feedback, people.
Much love.

P.S. Ramadan Mubarak to all the Muslim/Muslimah out there. May you have a great blessed month, do dikr and dont forget to recite Quran-e-Pak. May Allah Almighty shower His countless blessings on you and your loved ones. Ameen. Remember me and my family in your prayers too.

Inky goodness

Hello everyone!

I'm here to share a card with you all. It was my first try with heavy distressing. Excuse the faults, please. lol.

Background was originally white. I applied two colors of distress inks: vintage photo and Mustard seed. Blend them together, applied script writing background stamp. My paper has a lil fabric feel, thats why the color looks like smooth velvety fabric. Looks wonderful in person.
I added a strip of patterned paper, coiled some black twine on it. Lil bit of doily, and a handmade flower that has pearl trim and black yarn in the back. Flower was white, too. I inked it using my adirondack sprays (LOVE THEM)
Can you see the amazing texture going on in the background?? Its FABULOUS!!

I'm in love with the results, and would definitely use the same technique on another card.
Leave your feedback, people. Thats a MUST!!

P.S. I'm not fine. I have severe pain in my gallbladder, please pray for me. Thank you in advance.

Its a crochet Morning!!

Heyy everyone!!
I hope you all are having a great day so far. We have very hottie hot day today. Its 95 F in Pakistan.
Humidity level is so high that its really tough to craft. Especially when you want to burn the crochet yarn in the end of your project, and you switch off the fan. Sigh! Dont ask.

Anyway, I'm here to share with you my crocheted butterfly.

The procedure is REALLY simple. It measures 1 inch tall, and 1 1/4 inch wide.
I'm going to note that down for you all to try it. Dont forget to post your finished butterfly here, or tag me in that so i can see..

Supplies:
*Embroidery floss
*Size 6 hook

Ch 4. Sl st into first ch to form a ring.

*Ch 4. 3tr (treble stitch) into ring. Ch 3, sl st into ring.* Repeat once.

*Ch 3. 3dc into ring. Ch 3, sl st into ring.* Repeat once.

Fasten off. Create abdomen and antennae.

Let me clear it that its NOT my own tutorial. I found the pattern on internet long ago. Its just that i memorised it so well, now i can make TONS of these butterflies. LOL.

For the abdomen and antennae I used beaded trim. Used my hot glue gun to adhere it to the body and twisted the ends to make them look like the antennaes.

You can use them on your cards, on your mini album cover, adhere a large paper clip behind that and turn that into a bookmark. Or You can turn that into your daughter's hair clip. Or try pasting it on her hairband. I'm sure she'll love that.

I'm signing out. I have to make few more of these pretties.

Dont forget to leave your comment and subscribe. ( I need subbies. Well, who doesn't?) xD

Freshly Made Sketches: My Share!

Hello hello.
I'm back again with another card, for yet another challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches.
FMS#92 is very Simple and Clean.
Making a card following the above sketch was SO FUN!!
I accentuated the sketch by adding a lil bit of my touch.
Here's my card.
I did nothing fancy. Except adding some Prima goodness. ;)
The damask paper is from Prima Almanac that I had lying in my scrap box.
Big bloom is by Prima too. I added a tripple bow behind the flower.
Sentiment says "thank you" and offcourse i HAD to add blings to finish it off.

I hope you'll like my card. Come, play along with us. Its fun! :)
Dont forget to visit Freshly Made Sketches Gallery for more art work from my fellow crafters.

Leave a comment if you like it.
Have a great day.
Much Love.

Paper Secrets June Card Sketch

Hiya ppl.
Just a small post. I want to show you all what I created using Paper Secrets June card challenge.
This is what I came up with.
I used this sketch from Paper Secrets.
I added textured purple cardstock on the back, then added beautiful blue chevron panel in the centre. That panel has punched border. That indigo flower is handmade, and the other 2 aquas are stamped.
I added 2 blings and a fabric brad that I got in a RAK.
The sentiment says "Happy Birthday"

Here is the close up of my card:
The card is decorated from inside, as well.
Dont forget to visit June Card Sketch. The due date is 7th July, so glad I made it early :D
Leave your comment, I'd love to visit your blogs too..
Have a great day.
Much Love.

Hello...... after a long time!!

Hello crafty pals!!
I hope ya'll are having a great day, and a great 2013 so far. I am sorry for being MIA. Lots and lots of things going on in my life. I went on vacations, TWICE! Yes.. We visited woods, mountains, lakes, beach, AND then recently I had an opportunity to go to perform UMRAH with my family. Alhamdolillah!!
May Allah S.W.T grant you Hazri, as well..
So I'm back. And I have promised myself to be as regular in the blog world as I could. I would post regularly. I would visit more often. And I would CREATE on daily basis, INSHALLAH.
Today, I'm here to share with you a card i created this evening.
I was trying to do something love themed.. This is what I came up with.
A card with a co-ordinating bag.
That's how the bag looks like. Base is Red cardstock. I added Yellow textured cardstock to give the bag a lil strength. Added baker's twine as the handle. And pretty double bow to finish it up. Pretty pretty!! ;)
My Card fits perfectly in the bag. I'm really pleased with everything being so matchy matchy. lol
The card was white originally. I added another white panel on that, adhered that panel by giving some dimensional. I, then, added yellow cardstock that has a doily, glittered strip and some string going on it. And a pretty patterned paper that was going perfect with my theme. Finished it up with a very pretty feminine trim and a sentiment that says "I (heart) You". Heart is glittered. and so are the butterflies. LOVE my martha stewart punch :D
Closer view of my card.

I hope you'll like my card. Please leave your feedback, and dont forget to drop your blog address, i'll pay you a visit.
Have a fantastic crafty day.
Much Love.

Project share!

Hello everyone!
Assalam-o-Alaikum.

I hope you all are fine and enjoying hot summer :)
I am here to share with you something that I made using my left-over patterned papers and scraps.
This is a small journal or a daybook. Whatever you call it. Its 4.5x6.5 inches in size.
I added bunch of papers, pockets, tags and scrap papers in it. My idea was to create something that one can use as a daily journal.
This photo was taken BEFORE adding the queen card and flower. I did not like the letter "new" on my collaged cover. So covered it afterwards.
I love Prima canvas shapes, and this journal was a perfect place to use that. :)

Added some thickers as a label.

Love adding different size of papers in my journals.

It was fun using all the leftovers in a good project. My dear friend, MiMi Dibble, made a really cool Junk journal. Pay her a visit if you want to, you'll get some cool ideas to use your scraps and junk findings.
Have a great day, everyone.
xoxo.

Document your life!!

Hey beautifuls!!

I hope you all are having a wonderful and comfy sunday. I am going to spend my entire day re-organizing my stuff. I feel that my craft studio needs my attention today. So no more lazy sunday today, i have to WORK! ;)

I just thought to share some of my scrapbooks that I created over the years.
Documenting every moment is my favorite thing to do. And a scrapbook/keepsake/mini album/whatever you call it; is the best thing to store all the photos and the moments altogether.
This is the first ever scrapbook I made for myself.
I used cardboard as my cover. Covered it with burlap. Added a metal hinge to the spine to give it more of a finished look. These letters were cut by my gorgeous gang (my nieces). Whenever I start a new project, both my nieces want me to give them some work too. Seeing their joyful faces when I ask for any small help, is AMAZING! :)
This is 12x12 inches in size and has 15 pages inside.
This album was for my brother and his family. I spend one whole month on this album. YES! A complete month. Can you imagine that?? Its HUGE! And FAT!! My brother even paid me for this album *happy moment* :D

This was for my sister! Her wonderful kids loved it so much that the youngest one made a Thank you card for me. Yeah, i know! Such a sweetest thing ever. :D

Then, a dear friend of my dear niece, asked for a mini album for her favorite photos.
I cannot share all the inside photos, because of their private photos. So yeaH! She wanted the cover to be REALLY simple! So I just added some(Or more) inky splashes and a hand-died lace. She loved it.

This best friend album has my favorite papers and embellishments. Everything by Prima is LOVE!
You can see more photos over here.

This bird house mini was another favorite of mine. I used DCWV papers in it.
MME sunshine paper pad is beautiful and summery. This is a small album, 3x3 in size. My sister-in-law loved it so much, now she have this :)
My sister got married in August 2012, this was for her! Used K&Company's beautiful paper and a colorful corrugated as a cover for this album. Look at these flowers :)
LOVEEEEE this paper line. Romance Novel: everyone's favorite!! I can spend hours staring at this beauty. :D Its a 6x6 inches mini album.
Another 6x6 inches mini album, with TONS of embellishments and photo mats. I even added a ribbon closure to that. You can see more photos in this album.

Thats another customized order. This album contains 14 pages, one for the mom and dad, one for each month and one for the birthday photos of the baby girl. :)
You can find more photos here!

Okay so this is my latest project. I used American Crafts Seen & noted paper for this album. Its a 6x8 customized mini album. This album comes in a red box :)

PHEW!! I think its enough for now. I dont even have few photos available atm.
I love what I do. And i feel great pleasure when people love what I do. :)

~Happy Sunday, ya'll..
