But overall, the response was marvellous. I'm going to shop more for the supplies, since i earned pretty much from the expo ;)

See you later.

Grunge, oh wait. Its vintage grunge.

Hey blog friends!!

I'm here to share a card with you, thats the only thing i am having fun creating.

This is slightly different than the others. I wanted dark, wooden background. Looks like i nailed it. Its the BEST i could have done with my homemade stamps and oh-so-beloved distress inks. :D

My card is originally 4 3/8 by 6 1/4 . I know, thats an odd size. But I wanted to work on 4.5x6 inch card surface. So while layering the base, it went a lil bigger unintentionally.
I used homemade and bought stamps in the background. Went crazy with the distressing. So far, its good and i'm satisfied with the results :)
I wanted the neon shade on my card as a focal point. So i chose this pink neon cardstock that i had in my stash. Used other pink shades too. Some handmade leaves and swirls. I'll show you the close ups.
Can you see the texture in the background?? Its beautiful.. Oh and i added a glittered polaroid frame too. My new found obsession, polaroids! :D
I soo wish i get the die cut/emboss system, only then would i be able to go more crazy with the textures. :D
Oh bdw i torn the edges, too.

So far i'm happy the way it turned out. I was a lil scared in the beginning, but it was before i added the sentiment. Now it makes me happy. :)

Leave your feedback, people.
Much love.

P.S. Ramadan Mubarak to all the Muslim/Muslimah out there. May you have a great blessed month, do dikr and dont forget to recite Quran-e-Pak. May Allah Almighty shower His countless blessings on you and your loved ones. Ameen. Remember me and my family in your prayers too.

Inky goodness

Hello everyone!

I'm here to share a card with you all. It was my first try with heavy distressing. Excuse the faults, please. lol.

Background was originally white. I applied two colors of distress inks: vintage photo and Mustard seed. Blend them together, applied script writing background stamp. My paper has a lil fabric feel, thats why the color looks like smooth velvety fabric. Looks wonderful in person.
I added a strip of patterned paper, coiled some black twine on it. Lil bit of doily, and a handmade flower that has pearl trim and black yarn in the back. Flower was white, too. I inked it using my adirondack sprays (LOVE THEM)
Can you see the amazing texture going on in the background?? Its FABULOUS!!

I'm in love with the results, and would definitely use the same technique on another card.
Leave your feedback, people. Thats a MUST!!

P.S. I'm not fine. I have severe pain in my gallbladder, please pray for me. Thank you in advance.

Its a crochet Morning!!

Heyy everyone!!
I hope you all are having a great day so far. We have very hottie hot day today. Its 95 F in Pakistan.
Humidity level is so high that its really tough to craft. Especially when you want to burn the crochet yarn in the end of your project, and you switch off the fan. Sigh! Dont ask.

Anyway, I'm here to share with you my crocheted butterfly.

The procedure is REALLY simple. It measures 1 inch tall, and 1 1/4 inch wide.
I'm going to note that down for you all to try it. Dont forget to post your finished butterfly here, or tag me in that so i can see..

Supplies:
*Embroidery floss
*Size 6 hook

Ch 4. Sl st into first ch to form a ring.

*Ch 4. 3tr (treble stitch) into ring. Ch 3, sl st into ring.* Repeat once.

*Ch 3. 3dc into ring. Ch 3, sl st into ring.* Repeat once.

Fasten off. Create abdomen and antennae.

Let me clear it that its NOT my own tutorial. I found the pattern on internet long ago. Its just that i memorised it so well, now i can make TONS of these butterflies. LOL.

For the abdomen and antennae I used beaded trim. Used my hot glue gun to adhere it to the body and twisted the ends to make them look like the antennaes.

You can use them on your cards, on your mini album cover, adhere a large paper clip behind that and turn that into a bookmark. Or You can turn that into your daughter's hair clip. Or try pasting it on her hairband. I'm sure she'll love that.

I'm signing out. I have to make few more of these pretties.

Dont forget to leave your comment and subscribe. ( I need subbies. Well, who doesn't?) xD
